My Story

I have been working as a multi-disciplined designer for the last 20 years since graduating in 2003 from Brighton University studying Product Design (BSc).

Cutting my teeth starting a small boutique website design agency in Cambridge (2007) and progressed to Shoreditch/London to join Mylo Design now known as This Place as a director in 2012.

During this time I worked on many large and small-scale digital projects working with clients such as Mandarin Oriental, Mc Saatchi, Leftbank Pictures, Delhaize, Supremebeing,

In 2015, I became a founding member and Creative Director of SaiKutsu – a sustainable footwear initiative created by the world’s leading sustainable denim manufacturer Saitex. Working and living in Ho Chi Minh City I created sustainable footwear designs and material concepts for global fashion brands such as Converse, Everlane, True Religion, New Balance, Tretorn, Volcom, and EcoAlf.

2020 – 2021 I renovated our Margate townhouse which we then Airbnb’d and I became a father.  As the pandemic subsided I became the co-founder of 1101 in late 2021 and returned to freelance design. Over the past few years, I’ve been actively engaged as a freelance digital and graphic designer as ‘I am Will D’ working on projects for multiple film production companies as well as MOD base contracts.
